Reviews Summary: Not worth it... Rating: 1 I was hopeful about this book and was thoroughly disappointed. The circuits are so simplistic they are barely electronic. It appears that none of the circuits are actually designed or even modified by the author, but are taken from off-the-shelf kits or free circuits on the internet, and then without the complete information. The excessive amount of filler is beyond absurd. Each circuit has a complete table of resistor and capacitor values (a complete page and a half) that are not even used on a some of the circuits. The explainations are fair, but not complete for a beginner. Do not waste your time or money on this book. Summary: A brief adventure in the building of simple electronic games Rating: 5 This is one of the best entries in the "Evil Genius" series of electronic project books so far. This book is about the building of very simple games driven solely by electronics. There is no code or microcontroller driving any of the games. There are a total of 35 projects, all with complete schematics and instructions, and pretty much all of them use very easily found electronic parts such as simple transistors and LED's. Not all of them are games, though. For example, the book includes directions on building a lie detector and also two projects on building very simple organs. There are other books out there with more game circuits than this one, but the games I've played with in this book actually seem to work, and the instructions are detailed and complete. I highly recommend it.
