Review
Summary: Poor Choice of Title, but not a Totally Useless Book
Rating: 3
I bought this book in spite of its only review at the time being one-star. And the other reviewer's complaint is accurate -- this is by no means a complete course in metal lathe operation. But there's a fair amount in the book that's useful: in particular a few pointers on how to get things centered up properly and how to hold oddly dimensioned materials. If you're after a good basic course on lathework, this book probably isn't it. But for its reasonably low cost, there are enough tips in it and useful projects outlined that it's probably worth purchasing, as long as you get another book on lathe basics to go with it.
